Just as there are many types of people, there are many types of Graduation Scrapbooks! There is surely a universal feeling of achievement amongst all those smiling faces in caps and gowns, but the college graduate knows more acutely that day than ever that the true journey is about to begin – the individual journey that will shape who and what they become. Having spent at least four years immersed in the written word, the English major is usually 'literally' in love with a clever turn of phrase, or sentiment perfectly executed through language. As an English graduate, I am personally nothing short of obsessed with quotes! And as a scrapbooker, I know how well these petite patches of thought complement a picture. Taking the time to find the best quotes for your Graduation Scrapbooks can take a bit of investigation, but it is most fulfilling and inspirational. If you aren't sure of the graduate's favorite authors, do a little digging. Flip through some poetry books, search for quotes by topic online, or ask friends and family to describe the graduate in one or two sentences. These quotes will be even more meaningful!

The Science Major's Graduation Scrapbook

Whether they focused their studies on Biology, Chemistry or another of the many science major options, chances are the science major in your life spent a lot of time in a lab these past four years or more! Building Graduation Scrapbooks for a science major can be the most fun of all. Consider drawing a picture of a beaker, or cutting one from a magazine, and including little cut-out headshots of them and their classmates 'floating' inside. Another cute option is to put little pieces of velcro in the middle of their shirt in all their pictures, and include a tiny fabric white lab coat with the other side of velcro on the back. Then they can move the lab coat all around their scrapbook and “get ready for work” in every picture!
